Where can I buy a DayMakers product?

Do you have a warranty?
Our warranty is limited, fair, and personal. If you encounter a problem with one of our products please contact us by toll-free phone at 866-329-6253 (866-DayMakers) or by email at . We will work with you to achieve a result you think is fair. See Warranty for full details.

What is your return or exchange policy? (Our policy is among the best.)
Any of our items purchased anywhere that are unused and undamaged may be returned for full credit of the purchase price if purchased from us, or for full credit of the current online price if not purchased from us. If you purchased the item directly from us, credit will be issued to the card you used, or a refund will be issued if you paid us by check. If you purchased the item from one of our retailers you will be issued “store credit” for our current online price of the product, to be used to purchase other items from us. You do not need your receipt and there is no time limit. Timeless designs do not need time limits. Also, no return authorization is required. Simply include a note with your instructions and contact information.

I have owned my DayMakers bag for many years, and I’d like to purchase another, do you still make this style?
Each of our styles in their day was a favorite. Over the years there have been advances in features as well as the introduction of new designs. It is among our goals to continue to offer each style always, with two premises. First, when a style is improved with new features we will conduct a clearance sale of the prior model stock at 20% off. Second, as soon as possible, and possibly at the same time, we will offer that style with the improved features. Timeless is what timeless does and we have no plans to permanently discontinue any style.

Do DayMakers products actually protect anyone from pickpockets, or is this security bag stuff all a false scare?
We have had numerous email responses from our customers indicating that the security features on our bags prevented them from becoming pickpocket victims. Chances are you will not be the target of a pickpocket, but one thing is sure, without the added protection you will always be looking over your shoulder rather than relaxing on your vacation.

How should I care for my DayMakers bag?
We offer products in three different materials: Microfiber, Ballistic, and Leather. Our microfiber and ballistic nylon products are machine washable. Please follow the guidelines described: Wash ALONE in cold or lukewarm water, using mild soap on gentle cycle. Tumble air dry ALONE with no heat.

Our leather products are made from lightweight top grain finished cowhide that responds well to any leather cleaner. Always follow up cleaning by using a leather conditioner to restore the oils in the leather. Conditioning will keep it from cracking due to dryness and extend the life of the leather indefinitely.

Can I use Scotchguard on my DayMakers bag?
We have tested the use of Scotchguard on the microfiber and ballistic. Colors will darken slightly. Other than this it is fine to use such products on the materials we use. Test on out of sight material if you are unsure.

When will I receive my order?
Orders received by 4:00 P.M. PST are typically processed and shipped same day. Priority Mail is very reliable and usually takes three days or less anywhere in the United States. UPS is available for added cost. Overnight service is also available for added cost when possible. Please order earlier in the day for overnight delivery east of California.

Do you ship international?
Yes, we ship anywhere served by the Postal Service. If you email ahead, or after you place an order, we will evaluate the shipping cost and send you an email for confirmation of charges.

What is “hard bottom” compared to “soft bottom”?
Some styles were modified to include a panel of lightweight polypropylene (plastic) inside the gusset. The primary purpose for this addition is to make the gusset slice-proof for security against the cut-and-run thief who would cut the bottom and take what falls out. Nearly all of our designs have a large inside zipper pocket to carry all of your valuables, making the issue of a slice-proof gusset less important. If you prefer a soft bottom it is completely safe so long as you keep your valuables in the oversized inside zipper pocket. We have many styles and colors available with the soft bottom.

Do you have the wire mesh security panels?
No. When a pickpocket cuts into your bag it is typically done so on the bottom, or gusset, of the bag allowing for whatever is inside to fall out. Our oversize inside zipper pocket is designed to expand, allowing extra space to hold all of your valuables completely secure. If you keep a guidebook, map, folded piece of newspaper, water bottle or some such barrier item in the compartment or pocket between the potential thief and the oversized inside zipper pocket, you have all the slice protection you need. Also, we feel wire mesh type protection could damage the bag in the washing machine.

What size is the strap on my bag?
Strap sizes are indicated in the product information with each item. The sizes vary and there are also optional strap accessories for some styles. Please see the following:

Shoulder Bags:
Shoulder strap lengths are generally adjustable to 50”. There are some models that come with the 50” strap except when designated “XL Strap” which has a 60” adjustable strap. There are two models, #5017 and #5113, with a standard 70” adjustable strap.

The convertible backpack styles have fixed length straps.

Last, the Three Way Convertible, #5014, comes with a 51” adjustable strap. For this bag there is also an optional 72” adjustable strap #2014 that some people prefer to use for wearing it across their body.

Fanny Packs:
Our original HipSafe fanny packs each have a 41” adjustable waist strap. Strap extensions that are adjustable to 18” are available in matching color and material. These are easily attached and enable our fanny packs to be worn by a person of any size waist.

The Roamer Jr. #4014 has a 51” adjustable strap and will also accommodate the strap extensions for added length.

Can I make a suggestion?
Yes, we love suggestions. Whether suggesting improvements in product, presentation, or service, or new styles you would like to see, hearing from you is good for our health!

Do you have sales?
With styles that have had features improved we decided to conduct a clearance sale of any prior model stock at 20% off. These feature improvements of timeless designs render past timeless designs as less than my best, though still timeless. Because we are always committed to presenting our best work, we don’t hold back on improvements in order to sell down prior model stock. Before the debut of our new website, we almost never had sales. Now our stock of prior models has become an amazing source of capital to help fund the next innovations. You can help. All clearance styles are returnable the same as our best stock, see returns and exchanges.

I am not sure which bag style or color I want. Can you help me decide?
Yes, we will be glad to talk with you to help you understand differences in styles. Also, sometimes it is a good idea that we send you two or three pieces to consider each in the comfort of your home at a leisurely pace. Then you return the unwanted pieces for full credit of the purchase price. In this case you have the added cost of return shipping as a tradeoff for the luxury of deciding at home.
