Security Features

Steel CablesSteel Cables – Sewn into the strap of DayMakers ShoulderSafe and HipSafe products are two 1/16" steel aircraft cables designed to prevent "cut-and-run" theft. Our steel is the strongest in the industry but also light enough to not weigh you down while traveling.
Inner PocketSuper-Sized Inside Zipper Pocket – Inside most of our products is a zipper pocket that extends the entire length of the bag, not just partway like many other products on the market. The inside zipper is the most secure place in any bag, which is why we incorporate pleats on the inside, allowing the pocket to expand when necessary to accommodate all of your valuables.
Swivel ClipsSwivel Clip – The swivel clip is a standard feature on virtually all of our products. This allows you to essentially lock your zippers from would-be prying hands. This feature is a must-have while traveling in crowded areas.
Polypropylene Reinforced GussetPolypropylene Reinforced Gusset – Many of our products feature a polypropylene reinforcement in the gusset designed to deter thieves from cutting into the bottom of your bag and making off with whatever falls out. While the super-sized inside zipper will probably be enough to ward off this type of thievery, a little extra security won't hurt!
Buffer CompartmentBuffer Compartment – This feature comes standard on our backpacks and CameraSafes. On the bottom of these bags you will find a zipper pocket designed to contain items of little value, which creates a "buffer" between the bottom of the bag and the valuables you are holding in the main compartment. This feature deters the main compartment of your bag from being sliced into.
Buckle WrapperBuckle Wrapper – This feature comes standard on our HipSafes, with the exception of the Roamer Jr. and the Three-Way Convertible (These two have their own security feature, the "Hidden Buckle" described below). A wrapper is sewn into the strap designed to keep the side-squeeze buckle out of reach from pickpockets.
Hidden BuckleHidden Buckle – This feature is incorporated into the Roamer Jr. and the Three-Way Convertible. After you fasten the waist strap, slide the sleeve over the buckle so it is hidden underneath the sleeve. This keeps the side-squeeze buckle out of reach from potential intruders.
